Manual safety processes like paper forms, Excel spreadsheets, or “clunky systems” that are difficult to use and understand create several challenges for employee engagement in workplace safety. These outdated methods can be time-consuming, prone to errors, and difficult to track, leading to delays in or very limited safety reporting (i.e. hazard /near miss reporting, positive observations etc.).

Since launching Notify’s Safety Software, Menzies Distribution has seen a 25% year-on-year jump in safety observations (about 1,500 more reports), with input coming from a much broader range of employees – not just the usual few. The introduction of QR codes is expected to boost engagement even further, helping Menzies Distribution gather more data and more learning to reduce risks.
