Most safety leaders are already using AI. 68% use it in their own work every week, and very few see it as a threat to their role. Yet just 3% run it at scale across their safety processes. The enthusiasm is there, but for most organisations the foundations aren’t.
Underneath the gap, 82% of organisations still run core safety work on spreadsheets, email or manual processes. Many have no AI governance in place, most can’t access data-science skills, and much of the safety data they collect sits in storage instead of shaping decisions. Meanwhile, HR, finance, and legal are moving faster.
In this webinar, held in collaboration with IOSH magazine, Notify CEO Duncan Davies shares the key findings of the 2026–2027 Safety Leadership & AI Readiness Benchmark. It’s the first study of its kind, built from the responses of more than 100 senior safety leaders across 12 sectors and 8 world regions. Duncan is joined by Pete Thomas, Commercial Partner at RiskBase. Together they look at where the profession stands on digital maturity, AI readiness, and data capability, what separates the leading organisations from the rest, and the practical steps safety teams can take next.
Delivered in collaboration with IOSH magazine. The benchmark was produced by Notify Technology in partnership with The Global Series.
