EnviroVent, based in North Yorkshire, has been a trusted name in the manufacture and installation of domestic ventilation systems for nearly 30 years. With around 300 employees, including a nationwide team of installers in safety-critical roles, EnviroVent has embedded safety into the heart of its operations, ensuring that every product installed and every job carried out meets the highest standards of compliance and care.
Challenge
When Rachael, Head of People and Safety at EnviroVent, joined the business in 2019, she was determined to reshape how health and safety was perceived and managed. Although EnviroVent didn’t have a poor safety record, the approach was traditional. It was heavily document-driven, admin-heavy, and their safety performance was lacking visibility. Health and safety was also seen as the responsibility of a few, rather than a shared, embedded practice across the organisation.
Their existing system, though functional, was too complex and not suited for a business of their size. It demanded significant administrative time and lacked flexibility, preventing EnviroVent from driving cultural and behavioural improvements throughout the organisation.
Solution
