Notify signs up Bournville Village Trust to new module

Notify has signed up another client to their newest software module for audits, inspections and checklists.

Notify has worked with Bournville Village Trust (BVT) for just over a year, providing Incident Management software to the organisation that was founded by philanthropist George Cadbury in 1900.

The Social Housing provider services 8,000 homes of mixed tenure, including homes for social rent and retirement housing, and 25,000 people.

In a nod to the flexibility of the Notify platform, BVT use the software to not only report safety near misses and incidents, but also potential Safeguarding issues that might arise. All this is done via a simple mobile app, that shares live data to a central Management Portal.

Dave Snell, Health & Safety Compliance Manager for BVT, was impressed from the first demonstration of Notify. He said: “I could see how simple, flexible technology tools, could help BVT do a better job of reporting and managing safety. I really liked the Notify approach around developing software in collaboration with clients, where they bring the technology expertise and we bring the Health & Safety knowhow”

Following the roll out of Notify, BVT have seen a 300% increase in reporting of near misses and incidents, through improved engagement across its workforce.

BVT also manages agricultural estates, green open spaces, shops and a Museum, so the profile is much more diverse than the ‘typical’ social housing provider. The flexibility of the Notify platform meant it could meet these different requirements, convincing it to adopt the newest auditing Module.

Dave said: “The Audits module is simple to use and allows us to create any number of templates to help ensure that the right checks are in place across the diverse activities that we carry out as an organisation. In particular, the ability to allocate and track audit actions to completion has been a big step forward to us, helping to make sure we’re on top of things in every department”.

Duncan Davies, CEO of Notify, which also counts Alexandra Palace, Birmingham City University and Pinewood Studios among its clients, said: “We’re delighted that BVT have chosen to use Notify’s audit, inspection and checklist capability across the organisation.

“We believe that modern, mobile technology can help simplify and accelerate Health and Safety processes and procedures within any business. Our growing number of clients across the UK and globally are using our software to help keep their employees, contractors, and even customers and visitors, safer and healthier.”
